Professor Park has earned bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees in medical science at Seoul National University (SNU). He had been a professor at Seoul National University for more than 30 years and a Chair Professor at Daegu Gyeongbuk Institute of Science and Technology (DGIST). Dr. Park is a Chair Professor of Department of New Biology at Chonnam National University.


Dr. Park also worked as a President of Korean Support Committee for International Vaccine Institute (IVI) and a Director of Well-aging Research Center at Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT).

Dr. Park has served as a President of the International Association of Aging Research, Korean Society of Biochemical and Molecular Biology, Korean Society for Molecular and Cellular Biology, and as a Director of the International Longevity Research Center.

In year 2003, he became a laureate of Peony Medal, a prestigious award given by Korean Government.
